please give me a model # of Plextor or Sony that will read and burn cdg's that is an external one. so i can try this and hook it up and see if that will let me copy cdg that i buy at the store and copy to cd-r

We recommend using external USB enclosure and fitting a regular internal drive in it (it is much cheaper than dedicated USB drive). Of the cheaper drives we have been using BenQ 1655 and Plextor 740 lately, but you should be fine with LiteOn or Pioneer as well.
