in cdg to video converter 2, under the compression menu for avi im not getting the option to use ffmpeg is there something i need to do? (ffmpeg is installed on my system)

Please download and install K-Lite codec pack, and then give it a try.

You need K-Lite Mega pack for FFDShow cover for VFW.
