Ripped MP3 without sound

Hi, I have installed Power CD+G Burner 2 on my Windows 10 System, everything worked fine. But after ripping some files from a CD+G CD, the MP3 file is empty. I use Virttual DJ for Playback and I also tried IrvanView with MP3 PlugIn. Is this because the Software is not registered? I like to check, if everything works fine, before I buy the key. Would be very nice if someone can help. Thanks.

What about CDG files? Do they contain proper data?

Yes, I‘ve tried two different original CDGs.

Please try to rip to CDG+WAV, and test if the WAV file contains sound.

Do you experience the problem for any CD+G disc you are trying to rip?

Hi there
I also have this issue - any Karaoke CD that I rip gives me a CDG and a MP3 file; but the MP3 file, although it plays, has no sound. I tried ripping with other (non-Karaoke) software and the mp3 file was fine.
Can you advise?
Thanks!

Do ripped CDG files contain lyrics?

They contain something as they are 1.2MB but I can't tell if they actually have lyrics

Please try to play back the files using a trial release of our Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder 2. You may also try to play back your CD+G discs using the program directly from your CD/DVD drive.

Thanks for your reply. As suggested I tried with the Siglos Player.
When I try and play either the ripped cdg or direct from the CD it 'plays' but with no sound and no lyrics.
I checked and it works fine with some existing cdg/mp3 files that I bought direct.
I tried with CD's from 3 different vendors.
Any further help gratefully received.

It looks like the CD/DVD drive you have does not read CD+G data properly. In such case the only solution is to replace the CD/DVD drive with a drive that does.
