i can't find the old thread for the added video background ability. i have tried both MP4 and animated GIF for a background but they keep coming up just black. the lyrics and music work fine, just no background.
is there a specific container needed for the video (MOV, AVI, MP4?)
is there a specific resolution or dimension needed?

specifically, i use 4 background images currently in a slideshow. each has my logo in one of the corners and they change every 20 seconds.
i have a video of my logo spinning like an old gas station sign
i would like to make a video for the background that does the same 4 corners, but has the rotating logo instead of static.
making one video 80 seconds long on loop for the background would accomplish this but i can not get it to show and not sure where i am going wrong.
it's got to be something simple i'm missing.

It should work straight away... Can you post/email a screenshot of your settings?

I have double-checked. Any video format that Siglos can play works as inactive background. Or is this for singer announcement?

not the inactive background, the lyric background is what I am working on.
video inactive background could be cool for other reasons, I'll try that too.

Oh, OK then. So you may play a video from a fill-in and the announcement will stay on top of that. Otherwise it is not possible to set the video for the background of the announcement screen.

i can play a slideshow behind the lyrics fine, but adding a video behind the lyrics does not do anything for me except a black screen with perfect lyrics scrolling as usual. tried the video option in slideshow, and the video option as well with the same results.

For background you should be OK with AVI, MPG and WMV. Some MP4 will work, some will not.
