what should take 2 minutes takes 30+?

I have purchased a vocopro media-jukebox and have a copy of the Power CD+G to AVI Ripper. I'm trying to convert the many Karaoke cds that i have into AVI and store them in the media-jukebox for easy access. I've read the instructions, updated to the latest directx and still have a problem getting these to convert.

It took about 45 minutes to convert a 3.5 minute song. Do I need to do something differntly? I have a Pentium 2Ghz with 512 ram.

No, it definitely should not take that long. Please try lowering reading speed -- high read speed may be caused by a lot of read errors when ripping at high speed.
