PartyTyme and fillin music

Is it possible to increase the time that fill in music plays if the song is a PartyTyme song? They sometimes take a bit to load but the fill in music stops as soon as you press start. Is it possible to detect when it has loaded, then stop the fill in music?

Unfortunately it is not possible -- the same playback engine is used for fill-in and karaoke (this is the same reason no crossfade is possible). We are working on a solution though.

I don't think this will be possible at all given the way I know how PC's work. If it is, I'll be super impressed.
As a possible workaround solution, if the host was to add a second or external sound card, would it be possible to crossfader from one to the other?
Personally I went back to my tablet loaded up with background music. Gives me much better control, but the background music feature is still a solid feature on Siglos. Better than alot of the competitions efforts.
