Coverting origional karaoke cd's to burn

How can I convert an origional CD purchased from a store to my computer then to a CD that I can burn and use on our karaoke box?
I would like to extract songs from an origional cd and put them into a play list
so we do not have to swap disc's for a show. I need to put them onto a CD so all the songs that we perform are on one disk instead of 50 disc's.
Could you please tell me how this can be done? Also how can I copy a full disc to a CDR disc and make it work?
If I download a CDG File from the internet I can burn these CDG files to a CDR and it works perfect. But when I need to copy a song directly from a origional CD to a CDR it does not work! Could you tell me why?
The Box is a VocoPro Model is a Brovo-Pro System I burn my CDR files from the computer using your PowerKaraoke CD+G Burner software and it works!
