I reverted to 2.10 last night. Thanks for the update!

hornet59 wrote: Fri May 05, 2023 1:36 am I just noticed in version .3 that in the settings and selecting display on the left column in the Background there are choices of:
1. Solid Color
2. Gradient
3. Slide Show
4. Video
5. Camera
6. Music Visualization

Are these selections to change the background of the karaoke words? I'm not sure if anyone else has played with it but only the solid color will display the words. Selecting anything else and the screen just shows what is selected. The words disappears and when I select the solid background the words are displayed again, but not the color I selected as a solid background. If I select gradient, the screen will be the gradient color I selected, but the words will not be displayed. If I select camera, the camera will turn on and display whatever it is pointed to, but again the words will disappear.
Are you changing these settings while a song is being played? I usually get a black box around the lyrics until the screen clears if the cdg file runs that style, otherwise it will stay on the entire track if I change it during. This isn't an issue on the official release version 2.4.2.10.

I have uploaded new version (2.4.3.4) that should work better. Please let me know if it fixes any of the issues reported.

2.4.2.4 I tested CD+G mode 0 and mode 1. Now even using solid color the graphics are slow even with low res and everything disabled. And the restart button is still crashing. Had to revert to 2.10 to continue my show.

Some of the Background worked for me. Music Visualization & Gradient worked, but Solid Color didn't. One other thing that didn't work was checking the "Go To Next" Starts Song. That feature didn't work so I reinstalled v2.4.3.3 then v2.4.3.2 and both of these didn't work either. I reinstalled v2.4.2.10 and the "Go To Next" worked perfectly. Not sure if this also affected others.

This is crazy... I have tested it on the crappiest computer I could find, it was 15yo Lenovo with Windows 7 and 2 gigs of memory. And with smooth scrolling disabled it run 640x480 resolution smoothly... I will keep digging, I am sure it is something stupid and simple. Sorry for the issue, it will get fixed!

One thing that comes to my mind -- are your computers CPUs Intel or AMD?

And also please set Renderer in Display/Settings to Enhanced video renderer. I know this caused issues in the past, but should work best with the latest version.

I will post a new build today, 'Go To Next starts the songs' is fixed, also switching between background types in Settings should work fine. The artifact in background Paradigm reported also is fixed.

Hi Piotr, I tried v2.4.3.5 and all of the backgrounds worked except for Solid Color. When I tried using Solid Color, the words disappear. It's like the screen is being covered with whatever color I selected. The strange thing is if I'm using one of the other background and try to switch back to Solid Color SKP will not allow me to use another background. It looks like I am permanently stuck with the Solid Color covering my singer's and preview screen. The only way I can get back to using the screen again is to use a saved setting that I have, and I am so grateful I had some saved settings. Reverting back to a previous version will not clear the problem. After using my saved settings and reinstalling a previous version I do not encounter this problem with the solid color covering my screens. Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

It looks like in version v2.4.3.5, well for me anyway, using the Solid Color background will block the displaying of the karaoke words. I will have to use the Gradient as the closest substitute. If I reinstall version .10 everything is back to normal for me.
