Effect Audio only playing when Karaoke Stops

As of 2 days ago, when I play my applause effect, it only plays when the karaoke (cdg) stops. What's causing this? Is there a setting I enabled that I need to disable?

I figured out what was causing it. It was in the settings, under "KJ Adv" in the "other" section...."Force FFDShow filter usage (if available)" was set to yes and this was causing the issue. Once I changed it to "No", the effect starting working while the music was playing.

I had a similar problem. If I used any of the applause sound effects, it would disable audio fo the next karaoke track. I could see the levels on the player, but no audio was being output through my headphone jack.

I discovered that if I shut the program down, and re-launched, that would restore my audio out.

I will test the settings you've described.

I seem to be still suffering from my "issue", even after making the suggested changes to the FFDShow filter setting.

The scenario I've encountered is that if I play an Instant Sound(either one of the Basic or one of my custom mp3s I've uploaded) once I return to the playing audio/video through the SKP player, the audio out is suppressed/absent, even though I see audio levels registering in the player. As it stands for me currently, Instant Sounds is useless to me. Not sure what I've missed...

If I Quit, and re-launch SKP, the audio out is restored.

Do you have more than one audio device on your computer?

Just the standard 2: internal speaker array and the headphones. The condition happens on both sources.

I'm still having the same issue. I have upgraded to 2.4.4.14. I tested the same scenario, and audio still stops after playing a custom Instant Sound.

What I also noticed is that the audio levels do not register in the Player console. If I shut down and re-launch SKP, audio is restored.

assassin, can you confirm this is what you did prior to encountering your problem?

1. Play karaoke song
2. After the song ends play custom instant sound
3. Play next karaoke song
4. Encountered music is muted

If this is what you did, I tried recreating it using the above steps and my sound was not muted. Maybe you have to send Piotr your settings and/or log. Just trying to see if I could recreate your problem

I cannot reproduce it... And I did try assassin's settings from a log. I am thinking of a way to make test, will send you and email with instructions.
