Presets for settings per venue

Post by B-Side »

I was wondering now that we have the scrolling messages working... I tried changing the additional text and then saving the settings for each different venue so we could load the settings when we got to a different venue, but for some reason that text didn't save. Fixing that as a potential bug would be helpful for now, but I would like to see a new feature to make it a little more easy or me and our KJs and only have 1 settings file to deal with when updates occur that may force changes on all of the different venue settings files.

Is there a way to add in a personalized drop box feature in the KJ settings screen where the KJ can create and remove custom settings? The idea is to quickly change the message box and the announcement screen if they have a custom background for each separate venue?

i do just that, different screens to fit each venue.
my solution was to make a windows login for each venue instead.
all my settings stay as i want them and i just log into the venue name i want.

This is very good idea, I will do this in one of the next releases.

I have different settings zip files for each venue.

I make sure that I update the Remote Queue Settings display as well.

Then go to Playlist > Settings > Apply.

From there go to Tools > Save settings, and update an existing zip, or create a new zip.

I have had success with this method.

I tried this, but the "Additional text at the end" doesn't save and I figured it would be nice to have a faster way to accomplish changing settings for only the display options. Especially with updates and changes happening that some settings would need to be fully redone (eg. the update that allowed us full control over remote queue text that you mentioned)

I have fixed the issue of some settings not getting saved -- it should work fine now in 2.4.4.10.
