AI Vocal Removal vs Traditional MP3+G Workflow – Which One Is Truly Stable for 2026 Karaoke Production?

Hi everyone,Poly Track

I’m currently testing AI vocal removal tools to speed up karaoke production instead of building tracks from MIDI and exporting via Power Video Karaoke. While AI saves time, I’ve noticed occasional sync drift and minor audio artifacts after lyric timing is applied.

For those producing karaoke commercially in 2026, is AI-separated audio stable enough for long-term use, or is the traditional MP3+G workflow still the safer professional standard? I’d really appreciate insights based on real-world production and live performance testing.

I've been experimenting with AI vocal separation too, and it's impressive for speeding up production

AI vocal removal has improved a lot, but it’s still not perfect. For casual karaoke projects, it can save a lot of time. However, for commercial use and live performance, the traditional workflow is still more reliable because timing, audio quality, and consistency matter. A hybrid approach (AI for speed, manual cleanup for final tracks) is probably the best option right now.
