hardware and software for hq singing and recording on PC

[ronimal]

Hello there and thanks for your help.
I have always wanted to assemble PC components which will be able to function:
1.As a Karaoke Player with Monitor, Speakers, Microphone.
2.As the singer is singing into the Mic, the other function is to Record Singers Voice. Basically creating a new track (mpeg4 maybe?) which will have the singers voice added in to the video and music track.
3. Functions such as a mixer or voice enhancing software. Also need to add some ECHO to the mic or else the singers voice sounds really flat.
4.How to achieve best audio quality when combining the singers voice with the original CD+G
Would like recommendations for PC hardware components (do i need to buy a high end sound card?), software, and implementation advice. Thank you guys so much! Something I thought about years of putting together but don’t know who to ask.
Regards,
Ron

We have one software product that allows singer recording -- it is Siglos Karaoke Player/Recorder. But I am no hardware expert, so cannot give you any advice there. You may ask your question on this forum: http://www.karaoke-forum.com/viewforum.php?f=2 , you should get answers to hardware questions there.
