CD+G Filter used with Windows Media Player Version 11

I have Windows Media Player 10 and the CD+G Filter which works very Well, but I was told that the Filter will not work with Windows Media Player Version 11. If so, why not?

Power CD+G Filter works great with WMP11 on my machine. The only thing that might not work are playlists -- I have heard reports that some customers had problems with them.
