crashing burner

i have a problem with cd+g burner when i am ripping cd+g files to mp3+g files i can copy one or two discs then when i hit the refresh button for another disc the program freezes and am unable to do anything with it other than a restart .after a restart it will do another few discs then lock again(most discs in a row is five).have tried reinstalling and have tried reinstalling media player and alike but to no avail.
am using a p4 2.66 comp with xp home 512 ram and benq dw1620 pro drive software version 1.1.10

would apreciate any assistance you could give
