I purchased the Karaoke Sound Tools, which is supposed to remove the vocals from the songs, then you can add the text to it to create a cd+g.
I have tried 3 different songs and when I click to play the changed file, there's no sound. So, I clicked to play the original file and, again, there's no sound.
How can I get the sound to work in the sound tools program? I have all ready udated my direct x - to no avail.
Is there something else I need to download or update?
Thanks for ANY help!!

luvarainienight,

Sorry to hear that. I think your got it a little backwards.
1. Sync the audio to the text first.
2. Then TRY to remove the vocals Best You Can.

Are you using the LAME Encoder or something else?
Are you using a wave or mp3?
(.Wav) Wave files work Much Better.

Direct X has nothing to do with audio only video.
If your using windows... Make sure you have the latest updates.

Note: Don't get your hopes up too high trying to remove vocals.
Did you read the part that says it works better on some songs than others?

IDEAL SONG FOR KARAOKE
Recording Studio:

Stereo has 2 channels/Tracks - Left and Right
Some of the Instuments go on one Track and the rest on the other.
VOCAL in the CENTER
If the song is like this... Perfect Vocal Reduction!

REALITY:
If The Vocal Is Not In The Center and
If Reverb or a dozen other audio enhancements are added...
Big Dissapointment.

TRUTH:
You can anntenuate / lower the Vocals on many songs and have a track thats acceptable.

You can RARELY Remove the Vocals from ANY SONG!

Kind Regards,

You'll see what I mean.
