Karaoke CD+G Creator Pro V 2.1.9 Crashes while editing

Software repeatedly crashes on Windows XP SP3 (2GB RAM, 1.86Ghz CPU) when I'm in the middle of editing songs.
Paid $159 for this software and it crashes all the time. Please advise.

Please try to reinstall the program. Should the problems persist, let us know.
Crashes on Vista, have repeatedly reinstalled, no dice.

I first get the error "cannot access preview file", then, if I hit the close button on the error message, the entire program shuts down. otherwise, if I press okay, it'll hang tough for a minute or two longer then crash. I noticed something really curious, too, although if it was working right it wouldn't be an issue, when the error window was up, the bottom of the error window became the new top boundery while the song was playing, so the error window didn't actually cover the new words being highlighted. I was cringing that the window was going to block the playback, but it didn't. Damnedest thing I've ever seen in any karaoke software.

Such problems are usually experienced when the invalid unlock code is used to unlock the program. Is the software registered in your name? Did you purchase the unlock code on PowerKaraoke website?

Actually, no. Copy was burned from a friend who couldn't get it to work either, wanted me to try to get it to work. Probably something he pirated off the web, thought he used an alias registering. Uninstalling the program. Jesus, what an idiot.
