when searching for song now when we enter the artist then every song for that artist comes up, but only the ones that are properly listed in the corect order on the import list. Any that may have the artist listed backwards, listed where the Song Title would normally be, will not come up. I have over 400,000 files and adding all the time. I try to have them all correct but I know there are some mistakes. It Would be nice if when searching, that it would search both Title and Artist and if the search words showed up in either that it would show these files also.

I reall think this would be a very good addition for the future.

Over the few months I have spent a lot of time reading the post and I have seen that the search issues are causing a lot of issues for a lot of people. Every file must be named exactly right and the same. Then import file but be set exactly the same as the files or you can't find any of the files imported.
I have used Search GT for quite a while and it can find any file on any of my hard drives Useing 3 of them just by putting in any part of the file name, be it artist or title. and it finds it so fast I had better not blink or I won't see it happen.
I truly beleive that you need to do some work on your import and search for the karaoke pro program. With all my files I have set up the searc not to start until I have enter 5 letters or spaces. this helps quite a bit but it is still slow and needs some work. I love everything about this except how slow the search is and that everything must be perfect or nothing works and I lose lots or songs and/or time trying to figuar it out.

I learned a lesson awhile ago about the importance of correct id3 tag coding when importing songs into Siglos. If your mp3 tags are correct, then the filenames are irrelevant and song searches go off without a hitch. I run all my songs through a program called "Tag & Rename" BEFORE impoting them into Siglos. This utility allows you to to tag multiple files in one batch, get tags from filenames using file masks, and even rename the files based on ID3 tags. I NEVER import into Siglos until I am sure my ID3 tags are correct.
