Karaoke Professional

Post by david68 »

Hi
I use to use siglos karaoke player, and found this easier to make a play list.
I then upgraded to karaoke professional, but finding it not so easy now to create a playlist.

First of all i know this software is for using it as a kj, but i mainly what to use it for my own personal use as a singer maybe one day i will run a karaoke night, but for now i am the only one who entertains the evening,

Please if somebody can help with a quick step by step guide, so i create a song list or play list for myself to sing the night away.

Many Thanks
Dave

Really trying to understand the new upgrade from Siglos Karaoke Player to the Karaoke Professional,
But a the moment running a show, i would understand it better, but i only want to use it at the moment for me as the only singer and creating a play list just for me, the version of the Siglos Karaoke Player was a very simple to understand just drag and drop then save as playlist.
Could this be included also in the Karaoke Professional on a update, so i have the best of both worlds?

Also i am trying to understand, which means reading the help menu.
I did come across this in the help menu.
http://www.powerkaraoke.com/help/siglos ... ylists.htm

But cannot find it within karaoke Pro.

I believe the makers of this software know what i am asking for or even those who use the program all the time.
Please help as i do not want to give up on Siglos or revert back to the old Siglos Karaoke Player.

Also i check the box where it says use the old drag & drop method, but i cannot seem to drag & drop anything.

Do i need to also install my old siglos karaoke player,
Please help any help is better than none
Many Thanks

You may disable KJ mode (in File -> Settings -> KJ), and use the program with its standard interface.

Did you try to click Help button to access the local help file?

Hi
I use all help files i could,
But i have just done what you said about disabling the KJ check box.
Yes this may be what i am looking for, but i now seem to have lost the option to import a list of karaoke files, so i have no data base to search from.
But i am still looking,
But the link i placed on my help file which is listed in the help menu using a playlist, i can not find this anywhere.

So i think what i may be after is simple way to create a playlist for myself with the added import data base method.

Still needing more help, but really like to thank you so far

Ok this is what i have done so far,
I have done what adam suggested to me, which looks good, I have brought up all my karaoke files within the play list which again is good.
The above now gives me the option to search within the play list, again good.

Now a little problem is that i would like to do, is have the option to export the track i searched for and liked a created playlist folder or something,

If this option is already there, then i need help to finally be a happy siglos user.

Or if not can at least siglos add something like what i am asking for maybe in the next update.

For now i could manage by using window search menu and drop it into a playlist and then saving it, but it would be really nice to do all this within the software, which i do not believe its too much to ask for.

Please respond as i need to know, and believe having a good piece of software also needs a good support forum.

Again thanks so far

I'm sorry, but if you are looking for more advanced song management features, you will have to try to learn the Siglos KJ mode.

Standard mode of Siglos was developed with just a simple playlist, and it is not possible to copy/move the songs between different playlists within Siglos. The only way to do this is as you have described.
