I am still trying to figure out how this program works. does the actual song from utube go into the playlist?? If so how do you do it?

You need to click "Add to the playlist" button to add the song to the playlist. The song will be added to the playlist, but will be not downloaded to your computer. You may also use "Download for later" button to download the song to your computer.

Yet, you still need to be connected to the internet to play it back......

If you are playing back already downloaded tracks, the Internet connection is not required.

After a bit of testing (I just got the Pro version and haven't done much with YouTube yet...), I find that perhaps the internet connection is not required, however, the replay still doesn't work for me...... (when I had tried the YouTube feature before I saw I couldn't play without the internet - thought it was that, but with more testing, it is a different problem - either way, it doesn't work....)
Select 'Tools'
Select 'Play from YouTube'
enter song (for example, 'el aguacate', though it happens on all 4 songs I've tested so far...)
click/select the one I want (in this case, the first one that comes up is ok)
Select 'Download for later'
leave 'Video resolution', 'File name', folder, 'Add to the playlist...' and 'Close' all at defaults
Select 'Download'
file is saved on my hard drive
song is added to my playlist
looked at the 'Playlist', select the song and click the star 'Make the song next'
after current song, it appears to try to play (on the playlist screen it shows as 'Current', though not in the player), but nothing on the screen or audio (as if an empty file)
I downloaded, installed and restarted Siglos after using the codecs. Same result (or, lack thereof....)
open folder where it downloaded, file size shows 15.8mb
open song in Media Player, plays fine (so we know it isn't an empty file)
in Siglos, select 'Add Singer/Song', select the song (clicking 'Apply Filter' with nothing in the filter brings it up quickly as it doesn't have the Artist, Disc or Track)
select a singer and 'Add and Close' - song is added to the bottom of the singer's playlist
song doesn't play.......
So, perhaps the 'bug' is that, simply, the download feature doesn't replay the songs for me.
I could really use this feature as many songs that my crowd wants to sing are 'local favorites' and not available through manufacturers.
We had tried to download some and play at the venue (we don't have internet there) and thought the problem was internet related, but it seems like something else.
I look forward to getting it to work!

shows that the files downloaded ok (at least the first three), but when showing in the playlist, they show as 0 time.
when they come up to play, they just pass on by.
the files do play fine in Media Player, but then, they don't play on two screens, go in to my playlist, show up on the announcement screens, etc.....

Did you install the codec pack in Siglos when prompted? Videos downloaded from YouTube are in MP4 format, which requires codecs to play correctly in Siglos. To install these codecs use this link:

I downloaded, installed and restarted Siglos after using the codecs. Same result (or, lack thereof....)
I even click on the "Yes, enable FFDShow so Preview works" when that screen comes up as "Problems with rendering the Preview window".
Seems it takes some seconds to try, but then just plays the next singer (I have two set up - one as 'youtube' with the videos and my preset list).
Just to make sure, I now closed SKP and clicked on the link you provided, downloaded and installed the codecs, started SKP, verified I have two video songs for one singer and several for another. Started the session - same result (i.e., no video playing).

Can you make one more test please -- go to Settings / KJ, disable KJ mode (the first option from the top), restart the program, and drop one of the MP4 files on the Siglos window.

Very strange... Can you please:
1. Run the program
2. Click in the program main window
3. Press Ctrl+Shift+L
4. Message "Log enabled" should appear
5. Restart the program
6. Follow the actions leading to the problem (ie. play MP4 file)
7. Exit the program
8. Go to My Documents (or Documents on Vista) -- you will find "sigloslog.txt" file there. Please email it to me.

OK, I'll send it again.
BTW, I just found a small bug as I accidently hit only Ctrl-L (no Shift) - the text states "Loading CD is not recommented....." - better English would be "Loading a CD...", though also 'recommended' should be corrected.
I'll send the log file in a few moments.
