video renderer 7 has been the smoothest for me for a while but on this new build it does not switch from the announcement screen to the lyrics. also noticed that the announcement screen stays after the singer showing the previous singers name longer than it did on build .17, it waits until the fill in is completely faded in. when using go to next it works as usual. could it be set to change to the next singers name durring the song so it would be already there like when using go to next?
also, just noticed, the wait for song adds a "1" in the brackets next to the singer name. while i am here running 28 singers, i turned it off and find that 14 had not given me songs. gotta be able to see if they dont have a song in.
editing this post as i find more.....
if the add singer dialog is open the hotkey F5 does not start the song. it worked on the last build though.

Paradigm I'm assuming when you have the wait for songs activated, it tricks KP into thinking that all singers have at least one song in que so it won't bypass any singer. If it wasn't checked, KP would go to the next singer that has a song in the que bypassing all singer's that doesn't have a song

Paradigm, I find using this method works better for keeping singer's in the rotation even though they don't have any songs in the que, because using the wait for songs method, as you just found out will keep Everyone in the rotation even though a couple of singers don't want to sing in the current rotation.
This is the procedure I use. It's just another way of doing things
How to add a singer into rotation without adding a song
1. Create a short txt file and rename the extension from txt to CDG (with no matching MP3 file). Name it No Song Selected
2. Enter it into your data base
3. Click "manage song database"
4. Edit the title to "No Song Selected" and the Disc ID to 4 periods ....
5. When the program comes to this text file it will stop until you enter a song
6. Enter a song for the singer and delete the “No Song Selected”
7. When entering a new singer, drop to the “Disc ID” and type ....
8. Enter this puts the singer in rotation with 'No song selected' in the rotation list

i do that too Hornet, here i was just pointing out a bug i noticed. mine is named *i need a song from you* so that scrolls on the scrolling message in case i forget.
an add on to the renderer problem, i uninstalled and went back to .17 (seemed to handle more smoothly) and i still have the issue with the renderer. not sure if that tells you guys anything about what it might be.
and before i forget, i have an intro video i use that is at 25fps, if i set it to play at 25fps, the video has a lot of artifacts. however if i play that same 25fps file at 30fps it runs much smoother.....can't figure that out.

update...
reinstalled the siglos codec pack and now renderer 7 works....kinda......
everything plays, the scrolling mkessgae is right, but the lyric portion is condensed into the lower left corner (it does display the lyrics correctly, just in a smaller window) i cant figure out how to upload a picture of it.[/img]

another update.
after i installed the Siglos video codecs i did not get to reboot. so tonight when i started (after what counts as a reboot, shutting down last night, starting tonight) pressing play caused a "Siglos has closed unexpectedly" error to pop up. when i re-installed the k-lite codec pack the error went away.

New build will be ready tomorrow, some bugs with 'Wait for songs' are fixed.
