In general, Pioneer and Plextor drives do the best job. However, I recommend to test the one you have using the demo of Power CD+G Burner 2. It is possible the drive is capable of supporting CD+G format.

Which would be better, a Pioneer DVD Burner or a Pioneer Combo Blu Ray DVD Burner? Speaking of Laptops, how would an external Pioneer DVD Combo Blu Ray DVD Burner work? Of course both situations for burning CD+G discs. Thank you.

Pioneer devices usually support CD+G format properly, so you should not experience any problems with any of those drives.
