SKP closes unexpectedly

Hey Gang
Is anyone having a problem with SKP closing unexpectedly? I'm not sure if it's a windows update that's causing the problem, but it started happening just recently. I'm using the most current version of SKP with windows 8.1
I'll check if it also happens on my windows xp laptop

UPDATE
Playing AVI files crashes and closes SKP. I played mp3G, MP4 and mpg files without any problems. I've sent a email with the log file to support and I'll let you know what they find out. Is anyone else having this problem with SKP 2.0.24?
I've asked support if they have version 2.0.23 because I want to install that version to see if I encounter the same problem. My XP computer has 2.0.23 installed and I can play all of the different files without a problem.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE
If you are having the same problem as me, go to

Download and install the mega pack! It cleared up all of my problems. It might even help the choppy and lagging videos

SKP Dropping out in the middle of songs

This is my third week with the new Windows 8.1 and SKP is cutting out in the middle of songs (CD+G). It happened three times tonight and twice last weekend, and three times the week before. I've ticked the 'Use Comparability Mode" on, in the General settings, but this has not helped. I saw the post regarding a new codec but I am not really comfortable using something else in my SKP program. Is there a fix? I've used SKP for almost ten years without having any problems, until now. Please help it's upsetting the customers and disturbing the Bar owner.

The codec will probably do no good when comes to problems with CDG files. Do you experience "cutting out" for any song or for particular songs?
Please try to enable "Use compatible MP3 decoding" option in File -> Settings -> General dialog box.

I tried the Compatibility Mode but it still shuts down.
