Karaoke Sound Tools problem

Hi,
a friend of mine has Karaoke Sound Tools installed on a Windows XP computer and whenever they proccess and save a song to anywhere on their computer and play it back later, the song speeds up and slows down and changes pitch.
This makes the song unplayable.
Even if they do not change the pitch of the song in KST it still does it on playback regardless of what is used for playback.
I see it as the song (wav or mp3)being messed up while KST is proccessing it.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
