Power Video Karaoke issue

Post by venkatkaraoke »

I downloaded the trial version of Power Video Karaoke. It gives a error message & closes every time I import a mp3 sound track. Iam on Vista. Is it because of Vista or because of trial version. Please help.

Does it happen for any MP3 file you try? Please try to load WAV file, and let us know the result.

You may try to install the K-Lite Basic Pack. It installs the newer version of MP3 decoder:

Thanks a ton Adam, it did work. Now another thing before i buy the power video karaoke. The vocal remover is not effective. The voice is still pretty much heard. is it because of trial version?

Please remember that vocal remover is not a magic tool -- it might not work for some songs. All vocal removal techniques are based on the assumption that the lead vocal is mixed in the middle of the stereo channels. Sometimes the song is produced in a different way and sound effects (reverb or chorus) applied to the lead vocal disturb the algorithm. Also compression used in MP3 makes it sometimes impossible to remove vocal from a song.

This site http://www.ethanwiner.com/novocals.html provides a lot of
information on how vocal removing software work.
