Scrolling Message

Post by hornet59 »

Piotr or Adam, is it possible to add a button to select if you want the scrolling message displayed all the time and have the ability to turn on or turn off the next singer(s) from being displayed? I've seen this feature on other karaoke hosting programs and I think it's a good idea, especially when the KJ is working a venue and he/she wants to display the establishment's name or other advertisement. Currently the additional scrolling message can only be displayed with the next singer(s) announcement. :D 8) :D

I like this Idea. Then the KJ can have any message he wants to be displayed with out all the singers. Good Idea.

Actually, you can't set the number to zero. It has to be between 1 and 10. But that is not what I'm suggesting. What I'm suggesting is to have the scrolling message displayed on the screen all the time without any singers listed (KJ selectable). This way, the KJ can constantly display a message. It could be a beer special that the establishment is having or something as simple as a happy birthday wish or anyone celebrating a special occasion. Currently the scrolling message will not display between singers. It only displays the scrolling message while someone is singing and a next singer has to be displayed also. If you are familiar with the hosting program Karma, this is how it's scrolling message works. I like this feature and I'm hoping Piotr or Adam will incorporate it into KP.

Piotr, did you get a chance to think about adding this feature to Karaoke Pro?

Piotr, do you have any idea when we can expect this feature to be added to Karaoke Pro? I'm looking forward to this enhancement

Hey Piotr, I just downloaded and tried Karaoke Pro v1.2.102 and I like the enhancements, but can the scrolling message be displayed all the time even if no one is singing? Currently the scrolling message is displayed only when someone is singing. What I wanted to see was the scrolling message be displayed all the time when I have the scrolling message box checked. This way, I can display messages such as happy birthday wishes or drink specials that the bar is running for the evening and it won't only be displayed when someone is singing. I hope this can be a easy fix to version 102

Yes, I know about this. This requires major change, which we are currently implementing.

if this is going to be a major change then while doing it you might want to consider no only having it display when no one is singing but even when there are no singers in line and the screen go blank and also if you change screens and have your desk top screen showing on the monitor. This way the messages that we want to show are there all the time no mater what mode the program is in or what screen is showing.
