request kiosk

Post by j_thain »

As a paying customer i have a little question. I have used karaoke pro for many years now but i am so tempted to maybe make the move to either compuhost or justkaraoke so i can take advantage of their touchscreen request kiosk software. is this something you are thinking of developing in the future?

Yes, we are working on something in this department. It is still in the early phase, but should be ready before the end of the year.

Since we are talking other ways to add to karaoke pro. How about adding a app from a droid or iphone to remotely add songs from a online songbook to the local karaoke host, eliminating the need for books or paper?

It will probably come, maybe not in the first iteration. Bo smartphone support is definitely on our plate.

Any update on this feature? I would really like to add remote kiosk type capability.

I'm playing around with Tricerasoft Super Remote Request Tool and it works for me. I run it side by side with Siglos Karaoke Pro which I just love. Although it doesn't integrate KP to where you can request a song from the remote kiosk and send it directly to KP. You will need to take the song request from the super remote request tool and add it to KP. Just a slight hassle, but I don't want to give up my KP hosting software so I'll put up with the slight inconvenience. Now I'll only carry 2 or 3 books just in case something goes wrong, after all we are talking about a wifi connection and anything can go wrong with wifi.
