We want to use the Inactive background as a 'banner board', showing various food/drinks/specials/etc.
Seems this bit of time between songs when people are already looking at the screen is a pretty perfect time for a bit of advertising, right?
We feel that a rotating .gif file would be the best source for that as we might have 5-10 different things we want to display and would prefer not to manually change them all the time. (I'm not sure if that will even work as the software may load it fresh every time, but we wanted to check it out).
However, when we load any .gif file (created by an Export in Open Office Impress, using default parameters for .gif), all we get is a blank screen, though the files show up under 'Supported files'.
Exporting the same page as a .bmp produces a nice picture, but I know of no way to change them automatically.
I put this under 'bug' as I don't get any .gif to show, however, I would appreciate any feedback on the 'rotating ads' idea - I am happy to work with it to get the function.
.gif used as Inactive background is only a blank screen
