Recording
Would love to see the record feather where it could be just turned on or off and when tuned on we could just start the singers song the way we normally do with out hitting record button. This would keep the show moving along and less time loading songs deleting the loaded song and moving to the next singer. Would be very nice if a singer wanted to be recorded that when they are ready to sing, song is loaded ready for them to sing, turn on record, start song, save song into a folder for them, and then move on to the next singer. The way it is works well at home but is a pain trying to record while doing a show. I have by passed it by using a different program to record and it makes it much easier.

Re: Recording
I'm pretty new on KJing using the Pro version and have only tried the recording at home (which I finally have working ok). Tried it in a test and see an issue with the recorded song playing again and the playlist not moving forward - is that what you mean by the above? (either way, I would like to see the recording move forward as well - I turned off the 'go to the mixer' (can't see it now so don't have the exact words) feature and the song is recorded and in the folder just fine (ready for back-end processing, etc. while keeping the show going), but it does 'stick' to the same song and stops the show.Dana48457 wrote:less time loading songs deleting the loaded song and moving to the next singer.
Totally agree! Having a folder with the singer name makes things much easier to clean up later.Dana48457 wrote:Would be very nice if a singer wanted to be recorded that when they are ready to sing, song is loaded ready for them to sing, turn on record, start song, save song into a folder for them, and then move on to the next singer.
And, after all, the name of the program is "PRO", not "HOME".....Dana48457 wrote:The way it is works well at home but is a pain trying to record while doing a show.
What program are you using? We are interested in providing a 'service' to our singers to record their songs and we burn them off to a special-printed CD (with their name, song titles, etc.), though cost (ROI) is a serious factor here with the maximum charge we presume to be around $4 per CD. Purchasing another program, more songs (which I'm already being asked for...), a CD printer (which is heavily taxed for import here), etc. gets to being a factor to ever break even!Dana48457 wrote:I have by passed it by using a different program to record and it makes it much easier.
I used SoundForge for years, which works great for audio speech, but it doesn't have multi-track ability for doing music (which I would prefer over just recording the mixed 'live' sound so I can add reverb to the vocals, etc.).
To stay on topic (as a Feature Request), let me phrase this as such; How about an 'offline' mixer where you can open up the feature and use all the functions, but not stop the 'PRO' live show? (I can see the issue with it as you can't listen to the output - but worth wishing for!)
I use Wave Pad. works good for me. Records straight from the amp so what you here is what you record and the just save it to the format you wish to burn the cd in. I have folders set up ahead of time and just save the songs to it and I am read to go on to next singer. or can even start the next singer while I work on saving the song.
