Siglos Locks Up When Changing Scrolling Message

Post by Singking »

Hi.. I have been a Siglos user for over 3 years. I pay for updates and I am running Siglos on a Core I5 Dell Latitude with Windows 7. My Back-up System is a Lenovo E42 - Core I5 with Windows 7. Recently on both computers, when I go in to change the scrolling message, the program freezes. I have tried changing the message without stopping the song and with no songs running in the background. I have completely uninstalled and re-installed trying to correct the issue. It is a bad scene at the venue when you have silence for several minutes and cannot do anything - Any ideas? Up until a couple of months ago, I have had no issues.

I'm not having the problem that you're describing. I tried it on 2 different laptop. One with Windows 8.1 and 8GB RAM and another with Windows XP and 2GB RAM. Neither gave me any problems. I'm also using the most current KP v2.0.23. Is anyone having this problem?

Maybe Piotr or Adam can give you the link to reset your KP to default.

I could not find your problem either using a vista system except I have been tracking an anomaly that hasn't been completely resolved which might help. Under display if you uncheck the cd+g smart resolution increase, gradient, and shadow, it will use less resources. When I had this checked before it would keep using memory and not release it between songs until the memory is used up. In the new 2.023 update, it will still use more resources and keep increasing til the end of the song. Depending on the disk brand and how long the song is, you might run short by the end of it. It is worth a try to turn them off to see if you still have lockup issues because windows might have updated stuff to use ram that wasn't used before.. It's worth a try in my opinion.

Please try running this registry script:

http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/si ... efault.reg

It should revert all settings to default. Let us know if it fixes the problem.
