Converting CD+G

Post by Jafpeg »

Recently I became the proud owner of a Karaoke machine and ordered a number of CD+G's including one by Rod Stewart. I quickly learned that my voice was too low to sing this CD+G and so I purchased a Power CD+G burner 2 which included the ability to change the key. It opened every CD+G I have purchased except the Rod Stewart CD+G. I would like to change the key (lower it) so that I can sing it. After hours of frustration I joined this forum to see if you might be able to help me.

It may be the CD+G disc in question is copy protected. Could you please describe the problems you are having with more details?

Converting CD+G

Thanks for getting back to me. The CD+G in question is Rod Stewart Standards 2 made by Chartbuster Karaoke. I have others made by Chartbuster including Charlie Pride and Nat "King" Cole which work just fine. This is what I find so frustrating.

My intention is to go and sing these at retirement residences.

You may try to rip the disc using different CD/DVD drive.

Thanks, I'll try that. One of my sons has a newer computer.
