couple of possible additions?

Post by hawke68 »

Is there a possibility of:

1 - since many files are mastered at different levels..how bout a normalize feature that would allow all files to be played at the same level going out of the pc to the mixer?

2 - allow a different background image on the custom announce screen..perhaps a picture of the singer if one is available?

3 - is it possible to have a setting to just update the song database instead of a complete reindex every time new songs are being added, that way less time is needed for indexing the songs.

by applying mp3 gain to your mp3 tracks that is supported in SKP. i have done that and it works wonderfully.

this is already supported. just change the background on the custom announce screen like you normally would and it will only apply to that singer.

what i do is have my karaoke music folder sorted in windows explorer by date. so the latest ones are at the top and when you open the import songs screen, you can just highlight whatever songs you want to import the simply drag & drop them onto that screen.

ok..disregard the second request..found it thanx.

as for the first and third tho...i don want to have to remaster all 30,000 + songs if i don't have to...and all my song are sorted in folders named for the company that produced the particular karaoke disc..so as to not have duplicates from the same company..when i add new songs to my collection they get dropped in the folder of the company that made them

Using mp3 gain to normalize your audio files is really simple. When using mp3 gain, all you need to do is add the main folder and it will look in to all sub-folders. The normalization of your 30K+ songs will be done in a snap. Any time you add new songs, normalize it with mp3 gain first then add it to your folder

Where do you find that option? I have Windows 7 Pro and I have looked through all the options on Siglos and no where is shows MP3 gain. I also looked through the Mixer option for the sound with no luck.

Thanks
