Ok. I have a good Pioneer A05, your software works with my Pioneer A05. Now, what brand CDRs do I need and where should I purchase them? I'm tempted to go to one of your competitors forums and blast them for trying to get me to buy a Plextor 716 and their expensive blank CDRs. You guys do not have people buying CDRWs and DVDRWs and blank CDRs from your online store. Meaning, you give users choices and that's great!

I have been using TDK CD-Rs and have been happy with them. You may want to take a look at the disc and get one with silver recording surface -- they are supposed to work best with karaoke players.

I would suggest you to post your question on:

http://www.karaoke-forum.com

or

I am sure that you will get better answers there.

I was initially going to get a CAVS SCDG player and use PowerKaraoke burner to create backup cds for this unit. I have been going back and forth to the CAVS forum. Many people have reported problems with their players and tech support stinks from what I can see. Also, their service center is only located in Calif. This means, you have to ship the player to them for service.

So, in short, I decided to use a laptop along with PowerKaraoke Player Pro. Basically, since I'm using a laptop to play CDGs, my choice of cd blanks isn't that important anymore. Although, I did use Verbatim and Maxell blanks to backup my CDGs. I also created MP3Gs from my CDGs and have them backed up to dvd blanks. I'm glad I found out about PowerKaraoke Player Pro. I definetely think I'm better off using a laptop or desktop instead of a dedicated player. Also, not too many manufacturers make dedicated MP3G players and CAVS' players are proprietary MP3G players (SCDG).
