newbie needing help with Playlist looking in wrong file dest

Post by jayp1978 »

Ok. I am running the current version of siglos player/recorder 2. I help a friend who runs side karaoke shows to help with retirement supplement income. He is the type after doing this for yeas, he has found that accidents happen quickly in a bar with all these electronics around. So he has a total of 3 seagate backup plus 5tb external hard drives to back up hid stuff x3.. problem is after I copy the karaoke file from say directory f:/seagate backup2 drive from the older e:/seagate backup1 drive I have to completely make a whole other Playlist because when I use the short cut icon i created it searches in the older e drive when I need to to look for it in rlf now. Is there a way to quickly just have it look in f instead of each or do I gotta copy file by file like I've done twice before for the same exact PlaylisT. Any help to speed up the process would be grea. Thanks for your time in addition to your patience in my rambling. Jason in Florida

The program playlists contain the info about files' location, not the files themselves. Thus if location changes, playlist files are not valid any more.

If you copied the hard Drive exactly then you can just change the Drive letter of the F or G or H hard drive to E then the program should find it I have my files backed up the same way and I can use any hard drive just have to change the letter of that drive to match my 1st line drive.
