Power CD+G Burner not reading CD+G disc

Trying the demo version of Power CD+G Burner. In the Rip and Copy tabs the disc contents are not being displayed. I have tried the Refresh button and the alternate settings. The drive is an external USB HP dvd1170. This drive works fine with another burning program (Microstudio).

Do you experience problems for any CD+G disc you are trying to rip? Is there any error message displayed?
