Database import S L O W

Post by sambinkley »

I have my songs on an external hard drive in a zip format. I have done everything the way I read to do them (making sure the drive letter is the same, etc, etc). With a little over 300,000 songs, it takes more than 2 days to import, and when finished it has imported only 30,000 songs! Is it the size of the database that is causing the problems?

first, you have an incredible amount of dupes as there were not 300,000 karaoke tracks made, this is a downside to pirating music.

second, it is simply a problem with the files (not that they don't work, but they have one simple change needed) , another downside to pirating music.

third, were you not a pirate i would tell you the simple problem (and free solution), but since you stole all your music you most likely also have a pirated copy of Siglos as well so you are on your own.
