a few ideas...
Compuhost has the traffic light system in their scrolling message area, green during the song, yellow when there is 1 minute left, and red when there is 30 seconds left so the host out working the crowd knows the song is over and can get back behind the board in time. MTU hoster just added a countdown timer showing the time remaining in the scrolling message area for the same reason. that would be nice to have as i know i am out with the crowd as much as possible. and for those that don't care or want that feature, it could be turned on and off by a checkbox in settings (unlike the other two companies mentioned).
in the history search, have the selection menu (song & singer, Singer only, etc) be remembered (i use that search continuously) not major., but i don;t think it would be a tough add.
have the minimum character search number for song search also apply to the history search to make those searches faster and less straining on the program.
a "want to sing" area in the singer history. many come up and want to add a song they just heard to their list to try it next time (after hearing someone do it tonight) and there is nowhere to put that.
PCDJ and MTU Hoster have both integrated SongbookDB into the hosting software, that would be wonderful to have.
move the lyric sync to the main rotation screen like the tempo adjustment is. when a song needs the sync adjusted, it is on the fly so going to the settings menu and trying one setting after another to get it synced takes a longer time than clicking the up and down arrows like on the tempo setting.
since there is an option to use disc, give the option to recognize more than one optical drive. when the insert disc dialog pops up, also have the place to select which drive is to be used (in settings the drives could be named. for example it would recognize 2 drives "hp3654" and "PX47732de" but nest to that it would have a place to name as "left" and "right" or as "top" "bottom" or whatever the configuration for that kj is so they can easliy recognize them) and this way when 2 disc singers are back to back it would go much faster by having the second disc in the other drive and just ready to go, and the segment that are still disc based could remain disc based (as they prefer to be) and get the benefits of running Siglos.

Paradigm I like your first suggestion about the green/yellow/red indicator. I think that CH feature is a good thing to have. I also like the lyric sync and the minimum character search idea. As far as the dual disc idea, do you have that many singers bringing in their own disc? If you do have back to back disc singers just move the second singer one more spot in the rotation so you won't have back to back disc requirements. After they sing you can just move the second person back to his/hers original position in the rotation. As for the SongbookDB feature, I personally don't use SongbookDB so that feature is not important to me.
That's good news! I'm sure everyone will be looking forward to the new version. Please keep us informed as far as when you expect it to come out.Piotr wrote:We are stuck in development, a lot of code has been redone, but we are still putting it together. There are nice things coming once we get this in line. September should finally see us on track. Thank you for your patience and support.
