over lay or won't wipe screen before next line

Post by Dana48457 »

On this computer Older one XP Pro on it I have ran ever version before installing it on my gig computer. I have encounter a issue now where the song plays and the words come up on the screen and starts just fine but when the line should be wiped and replaced with a new line it just over writes does not get ride or wipe the old line. I have tried this on old and new songs same results. I have un-installed and re installed 4 versions same results, I ran default registers same results, tried numerous settings and renderings same results. Pull song off this computer and played it on my gig computer and it plays fine. Okay guys I need help with this one. any Ideas from anyone may help, I am out of things to try.

OK let me get this straight. When you run it on your Win XP computer it used to work, but now it doesn't? But it runs fine on your gig computer which runs Windows 10? I'll have to play around with my KIOSK computer which runs Win XP. I have KP installed on it too. I'll see if I come across the same problem. Dana, when you uninstalled KP, did you also delete the siglos.db file? It may have a setting in that file that is being used every time you reinstalled another version.

What about the KP folder after uninstalling. Try uninstalling the program, delete the KP folder in the program files folder and delete the database file, then reinstall KP and see if that helps

if that does not help, have you tried the registry reset>
http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/siglos_default.reg
it will put everything back to like it was when you installed the first time...more so than just uninstalling and reinstalling.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Doblon\Siglos Karaoke Player Recorder]

This is what happens when I run the reset to default. I opened it and it came up to run I hit run and this is what I get. Don't know if that is right or not but I had tried running it before and that didn't help.

Dana I think Paradigm inadvertently gave you the link to reset the Karaoke Player Recorder, try this link

http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/si ... efault.reg

After running the reset program and you receive the registry error message like Paradigm did
Paradigm Karaoke wrote:"Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Doblon\Siglos Karaoke Professional]"
is what comes up when i tried it.
opens notepad and shows that text
Just follow Adam's instruction
adam wrote:Please run regedit program (type in regedit in command line), and use File -> Import command to apply the file.
hope this helps
