last sang time SKP

Post by Paradigm Karaoke »

when i add singers to the rotation, it shows the lasrt time they sang...even if it's their first time tonight. i click new session every night, but it still shows the last time they ever sang. tonight at 11:00 i have one that shows they sang at 1:43....and they did, but that was last week. shouldn't it clear that time and sonly show for current session?

Paradigm, it looks like SKP will display the last time your singers have sung even if you click on the "New Session" button. You'll have to erase the singer's history to start from scratch. But a word of caution! I found a bug and I sent the various specifics to Piotr. Hopefully they'll be able to find and fix the problem. I actually found it researching your problem. Here is the steps I followed

1. Enabled log and quit SKP
2. Restarted SKP
3. Clicked on “New Session” button
4. Added a new singer with the same name that was in KP prior to selecting new session
5. Received “Singer Name Exist” popup and selected “Add New Singer of the Same Name” and clicked on continue button
6. Clicked on “Start” button and song played normally
7. Added second singer with the same name that was in KP prior to selecting new session
8. Received “Singer Name Exist” popup and selected “Use the Last Singer of the Same Name in Database”
9. Clicked on “Start” button and song played normally
10. Clicked on “New Session" button
11. In the “Add Singer” popup clicked on “History Options” button
12. Received a “Runtime Error” popup then “Siglos Karaoke Professional has stopped working” popup error message
13. Had to click on the “Close Program” button and KP shut down
14. Restarted KP and disabled log and quit SKP

The shutdown seems to happen when I click on the "New Session" button before clicking on the "History Options" button. If I go to "History Options" first, the problem doesn't occur. I've managed to duplicate the problem every single time if I selected the New Session before the History Options. So be careful if you're doing a gig.

Paradigm, those steps were just things I did when I found the problem. Basically if you click on the "New Session" button then open the "Add Singer" popup and click on the "History Options" button, SKP will say it ran into the runtime error and need to shut down.

If you went straight to the "History Options" without clicking on the "New Session" button, SKP will run as normal. Following this procedure will allow you to erase the singer's history. So it's either use "New Session" or "History Options" but not both together.

If you click on the "New Session" button, don't click on the "History Options" button because it will shut down SKP. When you have time, give it a try. It shut down my SKP every single time I selected "New Session" then "History Options." I sent support the logs to the problem I found. Hopefully Piotr and Adam will be able to correct the problem.

There was a problem with 'New session' that might cause all sorts of issues. I have already fixed, here is the preliminary build 2.0.48:

http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/20 ... -setup.exe

We are currently wrapping up 10-band graphic equalizer, but in this build it is not finished yet, should be there in a day or two.

Wow Piotr, that's awesome. I'm sure everyone will be looking forward to the new build, I know I am! I'm also glad you were able to find the runtime error problem in version 47.
