ran ver 58 tonight and no crash.
did have one oddity though
the volume starts at 0, and has to be brought up regardless of the closing volume.
also, it must be done manually. i did it with the hot keys for the fill in. brought it up to 30%, played a karaoke song, brought it to full up with hot keys. after the karaoke song the fill in was back to 0, and the next karaoke song was also at 0. i moved the slider manually and it stuck.
tried for giggles to raise fill in to 40% and after the next karaoke song it was back at 30%.
also, don't know why, but later in the night it slowed down adding songs. i had a 20 singer rotation and even with removing singers that left leaving 12 in rotation at one point, adding a song or singer took longer than normal and got longer as the night went on. nothing extreme, but at the end it took about 3 seconds to add a song as opposed to the normal half second. this did not happen with previous builds.
but there was no crash (i do notice that when i hit play it takes almost a second longer than before to start playing the song, assuming this is part of the fix?)

We are aware of the problem with the volume, sorry for the annoyance.
As of the slowdown, it should not happen. Is the log switched on? If yes, please try switching it off and see if that helps. Also please see if disabling checking for silence at start or at the beginning makes a change (I know it is not a solution, but would be a pointer for us).

Played with 58 all day off and on. had no issues with volume. I did how ever have and issue that I have never had before. a few times the preview screen on the computer (as I did not have monitor hooked up) just went blank. then I had a pop up message come on that Display Driver had stopped. The entire screen did not go out only the display screen that was showing the graphics. A couple of times they would go out and then come back on in 2 or 3 sec. but the warning would then come up that the Display Driver had stopped working and recovered. I have never had this happen before and I was using my Show computer. No log was generated.

ok, it was not the logging as far as i can tell (though it was on)
i unchecked skip silence, but no change.
what DID make it move at normal speed was unchecking "show announcements".
with it checked it takes a good second for the song to be added even from quick songs with only 3 singers, unchecked it is less than half of that.
here is a video of what i am seeing

One more question -- did you have custom singer announcements for these singers, or regular ones?

ok, it does not matter weather it has custom screens or not.
i also tried on my second system which is an identical computer (HP G6, AMD A10, 8GB ram) and it was the one that would only play discs once then require a reformat, that is still happening but not the slowdown. if i create a new login the problem goes away.
here is the cd crash log
https://mega.nz/#!D5FFjKID!dHhcclZV_PSU ... YrHU-Vj0lU
they are the same computer, same settings (a cloned drive actually) and they have two very different problems.
on the cd issue, resetting the registry fixed it, but i'm more worried about what keeps causing it in the first place.

ok, one issue i think fixed.
i noticed the crash came back when i pointed Siglos to my database instead of the new default database.
so it had to be something with the singers or screens.
i changed my announcement screens from PNG to JPG files and the size dropped dramatically (750k down to 190k) and bingo....no more crash. apparently PNG files are too large even at 800x600 and it is getting hung up there.
as for the slowdown, this system is doing it as well.
i have tried using singers with no custom screen as well as deactivating the custom screen in edit singer properties with no difference at all. if i uncheck show anno9uncements it works as expected. also, the same delay applies to deleting songs, not just adding them, and also goes away with show announcements unchecked.
