Hey Paradgm, I've been playing around with the current version of KP and I cannot reproduce the problem you're having with the volume. When I open my KP, it plays the karaoke and fillin volume at the same setting it was at when I closed it. Is anyone else experiencing the problems Paradigm is encountering? Piotr, are you able to reproduce this volume problem? Maybe I should count my blessing lolParadigm Karaoke wrote:the volume is still an issue, but the karaoke volume did come in at 100%, however the fill in did as well (it's set to 30%).
SKP freeze...sort of

ready for the weirdness...Piotr wrote:Paradigm, I worked a lot on this and cannot find what else can be done. What I suspect is a codec problem which strangely did not go away with our installation. So please try the following:
1. Download, install and run Codec Tweak Tool from https://www.codecguide.com/download_other.htm
2. Go to 'MS Codec Tweaks' (bottom right) and disable first 4 no-64bit items (Audio decodec, video decoder, Mpeg4s and Mpeg43)
3. Go to 'Preferred decoders' (bottom left) and choose FFDShow there for H.264, xvid, divx, MP4V, H.265, MPEG-2 and MPEG-1.
Please let me know if this did the trick.
downloaded the tweak tool
things worked...but not because of any changes i made because...
hvid, divx, MP4V, H.265, MPEG-2, and MPEG-1 do not have ffdshow options on this computer even though the video codec pack is installed (the new one) so i am even more confused as to what is happening.
the volume issue is still present on one computer but not the other (exact clones) so even weirder.
is there another registry entry somewhere that may need changing?
or maybe a way to completely remove everything Siglos and reinstall without doing a complete windows reinstall? registry would be better (maybe what parts get edited so i can look at them individually to see where it went sideways) if it's possible.
if you prefer, we can continue this through email.
while i'm at it...what should the resolution be on the videos?
1024x768 puts black bars on the sides, but 1280x720 puts black bars on the top and bottom.
You may try installing FFDShow from here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdsho ... t/download
Please let me know how it works.
I will send you a build that will log some more info on volume problem, we should get it.

ok, this is a bit convoluted, but let me try to keep it in a straight line
my main test computer had FFDShow installed (an entire k-lite codec pack) and could not play the background videos.
my hosting computer and backup (the two clones) both had only the Doblon codec pack installed and could not play the video backgrounds.
the host computer (that did not have FFDShow showing though it was installed in the Doblon pack) played the video ok after downloading the codec tweak tool (and not using it oddly enough) but as soon as i installed FFDShow, it began crashing.
i went an uninstalled FFDShow and bingo i can play the videos again. so on those two computers, FFDShow itself caused the problem...somehow.
my test computer however works when i select FFDShow in the tweak tool (which i DID have to use this time unlike the other 2 computers)
host and backup are HP G6 2320's AMD a10 quad core with 8GB ram AMD video
test comp is Acer Aspire 7740 Intel I5 Dual Core with 8GB ram intel video.
don't know if you need that info but it could not hurt.
ignore my stupid question from above, i found the "preserve aspect ratio" menu (sharp as a marble...i blame my kids).
but i am adding a picture of my screen and wondering if it is normal that the video resolution is so degraded (the video itself is 720p) and at the bottom you can see my name is badly degraded (which does not happen with image backgrounds).
is that what should be happening?

thank you for keeping us updated and working so hard on these issues Piotr. no other software does everything that Siglos does or does it as well, and only a few things that other software does that is missing from Siglos.

The other night I started the show as normal and because it is Easter Weekend the numbers were down at the start of the show so I was letting singers sing two songs and I noticed an issue that I haven't seen before or talked about on here. Singer A has two songs in to sing. I start singer B Singer C comes up and gives me three songs and I put them in. Singer B does both his songs and I move on to singer C who has 3 songs in Singer D comes up gives me 5 songs and I put them in. Singer C does 1st song and I hit start to Make this Song next and skip other songs and singers click ok and singer C sings 2nd song. and when he is done the program wants to start his 3rd song. I try to hit make singer D next and it will not do it. had to take out singer C 3rd song and then singer D could sing then put singer C 3rd song back in. was the same for any singer that had more than two songs in after fighting this for a while I learned that I could just disable the singer that had to many songs in when they sang (after they were done with their two songs) and the program would move to the next singer as it should. once going to 1 song per singer there was no issues. It only happened when doing two songs per singer and hitting make this singer or make this song next.

used iobit uninstaller....install siglos and not only did it put the screens back as i had left them, even had a singer in the rotation.
there is a setting somewhere that even iobit can not find and uninstall.
i manually went through and deleted anything with "Siglos" or "Doblon" in it including the registry. that got it to install as a new install....but something is still there...it is already unlocked.
Piotr, what can i do to completely delete and reinstall? what am i missing?

To remove all traces of the program from the computer you need:
1. Uninstall the program
2. Remove anything that is left in Doblon/SiglosPro folder in Program Files (x86)
3. Remove %APPDATA%\Doblon\Siglos Karaoke Professional
4. Remove registry entry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Doblon\Siglos Karaoke Professional
5. Run this script to remove registration information http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/si ... _reset.reg (you may skip this step if you do not want to reenter your unlock code)
6. Remove database file
And this should be it.
