Transferring Karaoke Pro data base

Post by hornet59 »

Hey gang

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but maybe someone can show me the light. I got a new computer to use as my backup to my show computer. I installed KP and the codec. I used my saved settings from the tools drop down in the settings popup. All is good. I placed my siglos.db from my show lappy into my new computer's my karaoke folder. I open up KP and I received a popup that says the database is empty and do I want to import my songs. Every time I've done this process my database populates like it should. Am I missing something?

I sent Piotr an email about this problem, but I'm putting it out there for the users.

Any suggestions?

One more thing, when I tried to add a singer who is in the history from my show computer KP says the name is a duplicate. I totally forgot how to clear this problem. Anyone remember how to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance

did you go into settings and point it to your DB?
i know you put it in the folder, but maybe try that.
did you name your DB file something else?

I didn't point it to the db file because I thought it should do it automatically and I didn't change the location of the file. I also didn't change the name of the file. This problem is just frustrating, but thanks for the suggestions
