Paradigm Karaoke wrote:one more suggestion, like the "most popular" list, could there be a button for "just added" to show songs added within the last XX days? for example, my current system shows all songs added in the last 30 days clicking that button. this button is used every day and is the first button many of my singers click first to find something new.
Paradigm, I think this would be a nice addition to the remote listing. It would be like the songs recently added page in the printed books. I have this page in my books and it shows songs recently added since *DATE*.

I also think instead of "Just Added" the label could be something like "Songs Recently Added" to make it even more clearer. Either way, I like your suggestion.

i think you may be right on the verbiage.
could the button names be an option like the welcome page title is?
something like a tab on the remote queue settings window kinda like in the regular settings (display, recording, cd settings, etc) and show the check boxes for each button to be selected for showing or not, and next to it a field to select what the button will actually say.

venue

Post by cdakaraoke »

I have a slight issue, is there a way to reset the venue assigned to a person? I had the skp back when the venue setting worked better. I quit using the feature but the singers that have been with me were assigned a venue. It wasn't a problem until the kiosk program. I just need a way to either erase all the venues or at least edit the singers so the kiosk will see them. Otherwise I have to start over with the people that use the kiosk feature.

Thank you

I am adding this to the next build. It will be in Edit Singer window.

Hey guys.
awesome job so far. the remote queue is not following the new singer position in rotation settings set in the add singer dialog tho, its just dropping them at the end of the rotation.
Would it be possible to have the landing page when they connect be the login page instead of at the end after finding a song. would that not make it easier to facillitate the more user specific functions (i.e. song history etc)
I do like the idea of having the buttons on the search page being toggleable and button text being font and colour settable, to better suit the host's personal style.

i noticed this as well but...if you pull down to refresh the screen (or f5 if on a laptop) it corrects itself.

could SKP send a refresh signal to do this automatically?

i like this idea, and i believe logging in is on the agenda for the system, so perhaps at that point it would make sense. personally, i feel it might be better to have a button at the top to login. the reason is this would still allow someone to browse without being required to log in or do anything. those who have been there could just hit the "login" button at the top and do that, but it would keep the searching process for first time singers as simple and straightforward as possible.

Version 2.1.1.23 Crash (Windows 10 Blue screen)

Post by AbsoluteDJ »

Show Computer: (upgraded from 2.0.70 to 2.1.1.23)
After 5 hours last night Version 2.1.1.23 and the computer crashed. "Oops something went wrong" then the countdown and reboot.

Also this computer has been my show computer for 8 months with SKP version 2.0.70 and it has been stable. (No PC Crashes ever and very rarely a SKP Crash)

Also The songlist is not view-able on the remote phones and computers. However the interface comes up and the singers cue also shows up.

Test Computer: (Fresh Install of 2.1.1.23)
Previously I've been testing 2.1.1.23 on my regular computer with a limited amount of music in the database. Works fine!

Thanks

it's really simple.
1) they need to be connected to the same wifi that your hosting computer is.
2) they open a browser and type in the address in the remote queue settings
(eg. 192.168.10.158:6803)
3) when they send in a request it asks for their secret code, i have told my singers to use the last 4 of their phone. having 3 "Mike M." is not unusual, but having 2 "Mike M with the last 4 numbers 9584 is unfathomable).

************if singer is new, ignore 4-7)*****************

4)when the request comes through ~1/4 second later 8) ) right click and select request properties.
5) select match singer
6) find that singer in your history
7) when it asks if you want to update singer say yes
8) click the plus sign to add the singer/song to the rotation

from that point on, the singer is attached to their history and you can just click the plus sign in the future, or turn on auto add and let SKP do it for you.

Hey Dana

Make sure your computer and your hosting PC is on the same network, then start KP and on the bottom right side of KP's rotation screen you will see the "Remote Queue" radio button. Click on it and on the remote queue popup window click on "Settings." On the top of the settings popup window you will see "Client URL" and its associated IP Address. Type this IP in your browser's URL and you should see the remote request.

Songlist not showing up on phones

Post by AbsoluteDJ »

Hi guys,
Any idea on why the songlist wouldn't show up on the phones.

I'm using 2.1.1.23 which I upgraded from 2.0.70

The network is up and the server is broadcasting

The portal shows up on the phones with the by song, by artist, most popular and singers cue (the singers cue shows the people waiting in line)

The three menus buttons atop the screen work

No songs show up in the results for by song, by artist and most popular

Please advise
Thanks

Guys, I have uploaded new build here:

http://www.powerkaraoke.com/download/20 ... -setup.exe

It has new options window for remote queue with more settings to play with. Also it is possible to change the venue in Singer Properties window.
