I just purchase a Plextor 750A mainly because it says CD G supported right on the box :P . My main purpose in life is to try to compress my entire karaoke collection into as few disks as possible. I haven't purchased any software as of yet, but I'd like to find out what I need to copy as many of my karaoke disks onto one disk. I was told that CD + G's could hold lots of karaoke on one disk. I may have been misled, but that's what I'm trying to do. What I want to know is if it's possible and which package from your store should I buy. There are so many CDG burner Karaoke burner it's kind of confusing as to what's the difference between them

You might have been misled. In general, the CDG standard does not support any compression, so it is not possible to create a CDG disc containing compressed karaoke tracks. However, you can rip the CDG tracks into MP3+CDG format, and burn them as data files on a CD-R disc. In that way you will be able to record many CDG tracks on one disc, but you will not be able to playback the disc in a karaoke machine. Such disc can be played back using the computer CD drive and Power CDG Player Pro.

Then how is it you see CD or maybe they're DVD's with 100's of playable karaoke music/video on them for sale. How are they making those. I don't think compression was the right word. I just wanted to compile all my discs on to as few discs as possible.

The DVD discs you are mentioning are probably Super CDG by CAVS. Super CDG is CAVS proprietary format (incompatible with CDG standard), and our software does not support it.

You may also create a DiX-compatible videos that you can play on many DVD players (they need to support DivX format). You can fit thousand of DivX-compressed songs on a DVD discs, but it will not play on a CD+G player.

To create DivX compatible AVI files you may use Power CD+G to Video Karaoke Converter. Once you have files all you have to do is record them to a DVD disc.

No I'm referring to CDG format disks Like Express Karaoke has them for example disk number ESP459 is a CDG format disk with 100 songs on it. That's what I'm referring to.

I am afraid that they are selling packs of CD+G discs, so this is not what you are looking for.

No it's all on one disk. I already ordered one and received it. It's a CD+G disk. I bring it to the place I sing Karaoke at and it works fine on their player. They have a few of them as well. They have one that has 112 songs on it. If you don't know how to do it that's ok I've contacted a couple of other places and I'll let you know how it's done as soon as I find out.

I would be very interested to learn what kind of disk this is. But I am sure it will not play on a standard CD+G player, as it cannot be a regular CD+G disc.

Is it a CD or a DVD disc?

As well,

When you look at your disk using windows explorer, what type of files are on the disk (.zip, .cdg, .kar, ect)?

And,

What is the make and model number of Karaoke Player do they use at your venue?

:)
