Unable to use burn button

Post by pcdoctor »

Hello. I want to burn some selected bin files to a cd.
The burn button on Power CD+G Burner is grayed out.
I assume this means that my DVD burner can't burn these files to cd or basically that my drive isn't compatible.
I'm able to play CDGs and rip CDGs to MP3+Gs using this same drive but can't burn anything.
I'm using burner v1.4.2
My dvd burner is a Sony drdrw dw-q120a pys1.
I've tried the different options like use internal burning engine and cdr dao.
Any suggestions?

Is the drive listed in Drives list? Could you please send us a log file created by Power CD+G Burner. It is cdgblog.txt file located in 'C:\Program Files\Doblon\Power CD+G Burner' directory. This will allow us to find what the problem might be.

I just emailed you the log file.
What I've done in the meantime is create a cue file and use nero 7 to burn the sample cdg.

One more question, I used mp3+g to convert mp3+g back to bin so that I could burn the cdg. Since my Pioneer a05 is dead I have to way to test this with my current Sony. Can you import mp3+g from the hard drive and burn them to cdg format using the burner? I can't tell if this feature is allowed since the burn button in grayed out. I assume the answer to this question is yes.

A co-worker is having another xmas/karaoke party at her house next month and I want to bring along some of my stuff. I could bring a laptop and use the player but I don't want to do that.
Thx for your help as always!

Yes, it's listed in the program as

Burner device: Sony DVD RW DW-Q120A PYS1
I'm going to attach print screens in a few.

I made a backup of the log file and deleted the original to see if that would make a difference but it didn't.

Update when adding a certain number of mp3+gs the burn button turns gray.

Total playing time of 15 songs is 46:23.
Maybe I'm over the limit for one cdg.
Do you know the time limit for a cdg when using a 700mb cd?
If I add the 16 song, the burn button turns gray.
I think I just answered my own question.
So, I guess 15 songs is the max limit when creating a 700mb cdg whether or not you are close to 69 mins.

I looks like you are running out of space on disc that contains the temporary folder (D:) -- in the image you have pasted it says that 610 MB needed and 597 available. Please free some space or change the location of the temporary folder and your problem will be solved.

;)
LOL
I have two hard drives.
Of course I get this same error when trying the c drive also.
C drive has 16gb free while D has 493mb free.
I'll change the temp folder location to fix the problem.

Thx again!
