My other question is - the instructions say you can use the BIN files to burn to CD. If I do it this way, will it work as a CDG disc? Again, so confused. Thanks for any help.

Questions about buring cdg files
Hi, I am wondering can I use a regular CD-R blank disc to burn my cdg files on? Or is there some kind of special disc I need? I am so confused about this. I am pretty sure my CDR drive would work to burn the files, I am just unsure what kind of CD to use.

To quote you:
"Hi, I am wondering can I use a regular CD-R blank disc to burn my cdg files on? Or is there some kind of special disc I need?"
No special disk is needed, only CDRs. Most players cannot read rewritables, so avoid them.
"the instructions say you can use the BIN files to burn to CD. If I do it this way, will it work as a CDG disc?"
Yes it will work as a cd+g disk. You can use powerkaraoke player pro to test your disk on your computer.
