I am importing mp3's via the Wizard. They do not play in Preview, and the waveform does not show up in the Soundtrack Panel. The mp3 settings are: 44.1KHz, 320kbps, constant bit rate. If I click in the middle of the Preview bar (on the Wizard page where lyrics are inserted) the music is there and will play, but it will not play from the beginning. I thought there might be an issue with the mp3 track's volume, so I used an audio program (Amadeus Pro) to boost the volume by 20% and still got the same result. These mp3's play fine when played on an iPod or burned to a CD, with no apparent difference in overall volume.
Any ideas?
issues with importing soundtracks

It is a problem with DirectX not being able to decode these files correctly. Installing K-Lite codec pack from http://www.free-codecs.com/K_Lite_Codec ... wnload.htm (basic version will suffice) fixes this.

The link you provided no longer exists. I did a Google search and found a "Standard" K-Lite Codec Pack. I installed it and still have the same problem. Is there a particular audio codec that is supposed to be checked or unchecked in this package?admin wrote:It is a problem with DirectX not being able to decode these files correctly.
