Please specify more details. How many files does the folder contain? What are your computer specs? What do you mean slow: second, minutes?

My computer is:
AMD Sempron Processor 3400
2.01 GHz 768 MB Ram

I'm loading in a directory of several thousand songs. The initial response is alomost nothing....type in name of song and at first only first letter appears...after 15-20 seconds it will start responding letting you type additional letters. Search wil then start but extremely slow and sporadic
