What media are you using? Many karaoke players are picky when it comes to playing CD-R discs, so please try using different brand of discs (ideally with silver recording surface). Make sure that you do not use CD-RW discs, as most standalone players cannot read them.

I am using a store brand CD-R Recordable Media. Should I be using a music CD-R?

Can you recommend a certain brand of discs?

You should be fine with TDK and Verbatims. Also please try using lower burn speed when burning them.

There is no harm in trying :) If it still does not work please send us a log file created by Power CD+G Burner. It is cdgblog.txt file located in 'C:\Program Files\Doblon\Power CD+G Burner' directory (if you are using Windows Vista please press Ctrl+L and the folder containing the log file will be displayed). This will allow us to find what the problem might be.

Bin files can't play on kj's laptop

Post by sjnj2011 »

Hi karaokenut. I have a similar problem. First the bin file on my disk would not play on his laptop. Then he told me it had to be in another format. I was told by power kaeaoke cdg file or mpg3 file. Either you can convert on power karaoke burner2 quite easily. I don't know why they would not play a bin but the file would not play on his laptop. But he also said it must be changed to a cdg.
I have a flash drive which enables him to play it on his laptop. Now a days it is most common. Disks are going to become out of production starting now. Please advise if you know, which format is the correct format to have a laptop at any gig play with no problems on a laptop's kj computer. I'm ready to load my flash drive with the correct format.
Thank you for any info you may have.
