Exporting data to an excel spreadsheet

Post by tmessmer »

Could you please explain, (step by step) how to export the data from the Siglos Professional Karaoke to an excel spreadsheet to print songbooks. I'm unclear on the precise steps. By the way, the siglos professional is very easy to use, and with some trial and error, working with the cdg burner, the artist, titles are easy to manipulate. The song database isn't always correct. As long as you have Artist / Song it appears to import in the correct format.

Export the song database to CSV file, and then open the CSV file in Excel. Finally, you may save the file in XLS format using Save as command in Excel, and choosing the right format in the dialog box that opens.

How do I then IMPORT from a CSV file to Sglos PRO?
When all songs on the harddiscs are in "PIO1B4"-like
format, artist and songtitle are worlds away.
Unless I can get data from excell/mdb files.

I am not sure what you mean -- Siglos Pro does not import database from CSV file. You need to scan the disc for karaoke files -- Siglos adds them based on MP3 ID3 tags, and if they are not present, based on naming template.

I'm not sure that could have been any easier. Wow! I do get all the info, but i just deleted those columns and am leaving just artist and title. That's all I need because of the awesome search feature.
Thanks so much again!

That is my problem.
All my files (>90%) are MPEG, converted
from LD (yes, very old venue).
Filenames are not "artist_title_whatever"
but "discname_discside_tracknumber"
A CSV import feature would be very nice indeed.
(along with input-unique-songnumber system.)
