poor song search performance after adding Chinese mpeg songs

I was very hopeful your product would finally satisfy my need to support many languages and formats for my parties without running multiple programs, but I was sadly disappointed when I imported all the songs, only to find that the search engine came to a crawl after adding my wife's Chinese mpeg karaoke collection. What had been fairly decent search time turned into several minutes of agony. Any chance this might be an easily solvable problem? I have other programs that seem to be able to handle this issue well (i.e. Karma and OkeOke), but can't support either the MIDI I need for Hindi and European friends, or don't have singer rotation.

Any hope for help?

Have you tried setting 'Number of characters to start interactive search' in Settings/KJ cont. to something like '4'? It might help with the issue.

Yup, that helps some, but the overall search performance is still much slower than if the database contains only English language songs. I'm going to experiment again after upgrading to Win 10 and let you know if that makes a difference.
